Recipe...
2 tbsp oil (of your choice); 2 tbsp honey; 1 tbsp syrup (optional); 1 tsp vanilla extract; about 300g porridge oats; 2 small handfuls of raisins; 2 small handfuls of flaked almonds (+ any nuts/dried fruits of your choice).
Method...
Preheat the oven to 150C/130C Fan/Gas 2.
Mix together the oil/honey/syrup/vanilla extract until smooth |
Smooth consistencyyyyyy |
Add your oats in slowly, mixing as you go |
Mix until all oats have been covered in oil/honey etc. |
Lay the oats onto grease proof paper evenly and pop in the oven for 10-15 mins. |
Here I am demonstrating my handful of raisins, in case you, like, didn't know what I meant by handful... |
Mix your almonds/raisins and any nuts etc. together (just shake 'em about so they're not separated) |
Take your oats out of the oven (after the 10-15 mins) and mix your fruit/nuts in, then pop back in the oven for a further 10-15 mins. |
When baked, the oats will be golden in colour and as they cool, they will harden. Then you can pop your granola in a tuppaware box and store it for up to a month! |
And there you have it!!! Simple, healthy and soooooo tasty. Granola is great as a cereal, with yoghurt, with smoothies...however you like it. Also, you can adjust the measurements to make more or less of the granola...I tend to guesstimate with mine as I like it to taste different each time!
Enjoy your granola :)
